WordPress 2.8 introduces a great new feature – you can upload new Themes without having to use an FTP client! This video shows you how to install and activate a new theme in WordPress 2.8 using the new Add New Theme panel.
Hi, I am new to WordPress. Thank you for your video. It is really great to download without having to deal with FTP. As you said, it is rather confusing for a new blogger. I do have a question, where did you get “add theme” or “install themes” under your Apperance?
Thank you.
Hi – thanks for your note!
If you expand the Appearance menu on the left hand side of the screen while logged into WordPress, then you will see the “Themes” and “Add New Themes” items below it.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for this video. It seems super easy but th eproblem is there is no Add New Themes button! I expanded it and still nothing. I have the right version too.
I liked the video, but I – like the others – don’t get that when I expand the menu. Does that functionality show up after you pay for addtional functionality from WordPress? Thanks for any info.
