This is a tutorial for setting up MAMP 1.7.2 and WordPress 2.71 in Mac OSX. This allows you to do WordPress development on your mac, instead of developing on a live web site.
Thank you very much Francis! I was looking for a way to understand the whole thing of how to install mamp server funcionality and wordpress / rapidweaver on top of that… I was beginning to despere since everything was so very technical … this video makes it cristal clear… thank you!
Excuse me Francis! I´ve just followed all your instructions but when I log in as an admin user (after unpacking wordpress), at precisely 5:14, I just get a blank page, not the dashboard… what is the problem?
that’s pretty baffling isn’t it, especially because there’s a log in! my only guess is that something is somehow corrupted with wordpress install. i would try to re-download WP and unpack again. sorry i don’t have anything more definitive for you.
how can i change the url i try and try and it just dont work
and the other one is haha how can i log in to my blog i mean i have to opeen mamp and all that? or in the brownser i can log in to edit or post blog or some
Thank You! It worked! I just had to reinstall the 2.7.1 version of wordpress (the last one that is available)… I tried the Portuguese adapted version last time. Now, what I had to do was delete the MySQL database I has created, and then redo everything you explain in the video. Thank you again! Thank you very much!
