  2. Neurolanis Says:

Oh is that all? All this unzip crap…whatever happened to download-and-install??

  3. Pallor Says:

    Because I felt like it.

Yes, god forbid anyone do anything even remotely close to thinking these days. This involves unzipping a file (not sure what decade you’re from but this involves one double-click action in most modern OS’s) (By OS’s I mean Operating Systems – windows, linux, etc) Dragging and dropping some files, then typing some words that are provided for you, fuck you could even copy and paste them if you like.

MY suggestion to you is to just pay someone to do this for you if you find this too confusing.

Yes, God forbid someone do any thinking these days. Like not assuming that someone is knowledgeable in a subject you know very well (because you’ve done it a lot.) I know for example that the backwoods are so silent that you would literally hear a pen drop (on the leaves!) But I’ve known intelligent and educated people who never knew this. But me, *thinking*, understands why they do not know this, and I do not hold it against them like a pissy little kid might.

If people were brainy with this stuff, they wouldnt need your video. But I wasnt even being pissy with your video (my comment was directed at the software designers (if that includes you, Im sorry.) Your video seems fine, it was just too much info for me at that point in the day. But this was a short and honest comment expressing what—believe me!—a LOT of people online are feeling! There are too many things going on these days, why not follow the rule of KISS? (Keep it simple…)

  7. Pallor Says:

While I do apologize for my tone, I did assume you were some 17 year old asshat who hangs out on youtube so I wasn’t exactly kind. I’m just a pissy adult, not a child. I do agree with you on the simplicity aspect, and even still wordpress remains to be one of the less complicated install processes out there for CMS these days. I do also believe I made this video after much sleep deprivation so perhaps revising it and/or making a windows version would be more helpful.

Ok, thanks. I got frustrated with this subject yesterday because I spent hours trying to figure out how to run the software. I followed different people’s intructions and nothing worked for me. Usually unzip files (in my limited experience,) have an application file. Someone’s tutorial said “download Filezilla,” but I went there and saw several download options lol. I pretty much give up..but I’ll try watching your vid again later when I’m more awake lol.

Thank you for this tutorial, I wil have to apply it later. I enjoyed it, though the print is small for my eye’s & it is a lot to take in. I have to get my cute FTP working again, so it will take me a bit longer then originally expected. Again, Thanks for posting this!!
