how easy is it to load your own customized banner and background into this theme? Do you need to be familiar with coding?

I am very glad you made this video and explained in detail the problems you were having because I was having the same problems exactly and I think there are going to be many more.

Hello Lisa, I have Thesis 1.6 and i can’t seem to find that “open hook” option. Do you know where it might be on this newer version?

It’s not part of the Thesis product. It’s separate and was created by someone who is not affiliated with DIYThemes. Google it and you’ll see the site where you can download it.

Thank you for the video. It helped me a lot. You didn’t mention the most important thing, though. How do you create those menus at the top of the page? For example, Home, About Lisa, etc. It would help me and others newbies a lot if you reply to this.

I dont see the big deal about thesis. I have had to custom several version and find the theme difficult to work with.

Xmas in April! Been tearing my hair out trying to choose an appropriate theme for my word press site. Like u happy with 80-90% and the 10-20% was driving me crazy. After spending $500 on a crappy social network script that further robbed u with having 2 pay for customization I was soo happy to find Word Press which was FREE! However couldn’t change the themes the way I wanted. i’m very savvy w/computers n design but not coding. This huge 4 me 2. THANK U 4 THIS INFO! Woohoo!

Thesis 1.6 is part of THESIS & not as you say was created by someone else
Unless Chris Pearson is NOT the creator of Thesis.
BTW Thesis 1.7 is now out

Changed your theme only 6 times???
I only had my blog for about 2 months and i changed it atleast 14 times!LOL!
I never could find the one theme i loved until now. The theme i use is the fresh news theme. This theme looks good as well too!

Thanks for the tutorial. I have been working with Movable Type for a long time and am making the transition to WordPress. I am thinking of going with Thesis and your tutorial sealed the deal.

Hey Lisa I am chuffed that at last I have located your website from this video. Thanks for this. It seems more flexible than the ‘Squeeze’ theme. Wonder if you have checked this out in your research and what your thoughts are. Book-marking ya baby . Have a great weekend : )

I have thesis and i just installed it on my local machine. the theme is brilliant and i can customize it easily. The problem i have is that the navigation, the navigation only shows the link to the home page and not the about page or any other pages, how do i add those

@thetechall Go to the Site Options and under “Navigation” you can select what other kinds of pages you want to show up there. For example, I have certain wordpress “Pages” that show up in my nav. Good luck!

I’ve seen this video about Thesis theme for WP and I like it a lot . . . I have one question: what about vertical menu implementation ? I’m looking for some plug-in that allow me to build up 2-level vertical menu (or n-level) . . can you help me ?
